Exclamation does this have to stay??=(( (NTK ASAP)

I looks like its meant to be there, it is held down with some pretty big bolts. Its a bracket for the seat and possibly for something else?

I think it has to stay to help keep the frame from flexing.

p.s its the black bracket running across.......

I would venture to say you could remove it, it does look just like a seat bracket, i don't know that it is sturdy enough to stop flexing, but I don't really know for sure.

thats for the child seat anchors. it's where you bolt the child seats in at the joining of the seat and the back of the seat. remove it if you never plan on putting car seats in the back of your 2 door sportscar (like the rest of the world does :lol

hmmm don't even remember ever having one of those. must have ditched it with the torque box reinforcements......... or maybe the roll bar.

none of my mustangs has ever on of those and ive had three a 97 gt,a 99 v6, and my 03 gt

I didn't realize our cars had these, I'll have to dig around and see if I can find one on mine. Damn rear facing carseat takes up the whole car almost; gotta roll the front seat almost all the way forward to fit mine in.
