Default Hesitation from Idle to about 1500rpm

So the range of issues start here...

1. It has a tough time starting. Sometimes it wont turn over and we have to take the key out, mash the gas to the floor, then it will turn over.

2. When at idle, it is moderatly rough. Not backfiring and it stays above 500rpm..just shakes (sounds like its cammed).

3. When leaving at idle, it is very hesitant. Like it has bad gas until it gets to about 1500rpm then it "unsticks" and starts to move like it should when i press the gas.

Sometimes even when moving and I want to pass someone, it "gargles" then becomes open again.

Im beginning to think it is a fuel problem or electrical where I am not firing on all cylinders.

Anyone have this issue before?

1998 GT, under-drive pullies, Magnaflow long tube headers, no cat converts or mufflers, straight pipe with off-road H-pipe, 3.73 gears, short shifter, Stage 2 Dual Friction clutch, PI intake manifold swap, sub-frame connectors, 1-1/2 inch drop, Eibach springs and struts.

could be your iac valve. sounds like some issues i was having, although not all of them. could be worht trying to clean ur iac valve with some carb cleaner to see if it helps. quick and cheap before u start replacing expensive parts. the iac is typically somewhere on the TB, not sure about 98's though....

I would check your fuel filter, IAC, or COP's.

sounds like a vacuum leak. check for any leaks and change your fuel filter
