I think I need a new battery... advice
So Im like 95% sure my battery is shot. I had it tested at autozone and the battery has trouble chagrining (I tested it first thing in the morning, and then drove around 15 min and it still wasnt really charging any)
So the guy said it might be a bad cell.
Anyways, If I decide to get a new battery, are there specific batteries I should look for or stay away from? I know there is no such thing as a "performance battery" haha, but I don't want something cheap you know? What should I look for?

ive had the same battery 4 years through kentucky winters and texas summer, not one problem ever. also had a 2500 watt sound system at one time and never had lights dim. its a dry cell battery also. i got it for peace of mind. its all about what u want.

Yeah pretty much any battery will do. Even though there are no performance batteries, there are some lightweight drycell ones. My battery died on me a few months ago and I replaced it with an Odyssey PC680MJT. It's small drycell battery which weighs like 13-16 pounds compared to the stock/stock size ones which are like 50 or so pounds. Definitely a nice weight saving especailly in the very front left hand side of the car.
The only downside to this battery is that you can't be running your radio or headlights for more than like 25 minutes without the engine running otherwise it will die. You also can't really have any aftermarket sound systems....both are not problems for me.
The only small issue I have now is figuring out how to bolt it down since it's like half the size of the stock battery and doesn't fit in the battery tray. Most people buy the aluminum mount thing made for this battery and bolt it to the fenderwall. I personally just don't want to drill any extra holes in the fenderwall so I'm thinking about getting a battery tray made that fits it and bolting the tray where my stock tray bolts up to.

duralast gold is an excellent battery. trust me, ive worked in a parts store for 3 years and wal-marts everstart and oreillys super start both suck. they go bad all the time sometimes not even two years old. get something from az or advance. If there is one close to you, although oreilly brand batteries do suck, they carry motorcraft batteries too.
