Look just like the OEM PI. Seems to have good reviews. I saw this too when I had to replace the one on my brother's 99. I just felt more comfortable buying the FRPP piece.

if you already have a PI motor and are replacing the intake with a PI intake, you do not need to worry about that. The guide is designed for people who have a NPI motor and are putting a PI intake onto it.

also the NPI motor had coils and plug wires, where as the PI motor are COP

Just buy the intake, then wait and see (or call and ask) if it comes with the o-ring style gaskets already with it. If not go to the parts store and buy the intake gaskets for a pi intake.

The ford racing pi intake on AM does say it requires a factory style gasket. If you buy intake gaskets for a 99+ gt at the parts store you will get the right kind with the **** that line themselves up in the heads before you install the intake. The second review of the typhoon gasket kit said that he wished it had the tabs.
