98 Mustang Wont Start

Exclamation 98 Mustang Wont Start

Hey I'm new to these forums and I could use some help.
I have two problems;

Short story: Car gets stuck in gears and It won't start.

Long story:

1. Sometimes It doesn't release the gears when I push the clutch it. I'll have the pedal to the floor and while waiting in traffic the car will creep forward like an automatic. The only way to get it to disengage is to shut the car off. Also if I don't put it in gear before I stop It wont let me put it back into gear and i'll have to shut it off again before I can. But sometimes it'll work like its supposed to.

Possible clutch problem?

2.The car won't start now. Two days ago I went to a job interview, after backing up from parking it got stuck in gear. So I shut it off like I usually do, put it into first, pressed the clutch down, go to start it and nothing happens. The car had power but wouldn't crank. After pushing and releasing the clutch pedal a couple times it finally started and I drove off and it seemed to be fine.

Last night I went to go to my friends house. I backed out of my driveway onto the street and again it got stuck in gear. I shut it off, put it into first and go to start it and nothing happens again. I ended up pushing it next to the curb and that's where it is right now.

The car's getting power because when I put the key in I can turn the radio on and the lights and accessories and what not. So I don't think it's the battery.

I've been looking into it and my best guess is that it's the clutch safety switch.
I've looked up bypassing it but i'm not exactly sure how to do it.
Do I just splice the two wires going to the switch together??? Or???

I know that's a lot to read
But any help would be greatly appreciated

I can make a video of whats happening if that'll help

I hate to tell you this but it might be your tranny... this happened to me and i had to get a rebuilt one... it wouldnt even go into gear sometimes and than i would have to slam it in and i wouldnt be able to get it back out. My clutch was basically brand new too.
