Default How necessary is reinforcing torque boxes?

Alright buying the Wild Rides upper/lower torque box reinforcement kit has been something I was planning on getting next but after finding out that my local shop wanted 300-500 to install them, I really don't want to get it if I don't have to.

My current mods are in my sig and I plan on hitting up the track about 2-4 times a month. I do have prostars at the back with 26" ET Street's.

How necessary is reinforcing my torque boxes at this time?

If you plan on doing a lot of drag racing i would (with slicks) a couple trips to the track with street tires probably wouldn't be worth it.

you could try a welding shop instead of a car shop (not sure what shop u went to). all that is necessary is welding ability, not car knowledge.
