Default May have diagnosed my noise

So I took my car to the guy who tunes it, and he thinks it may be piston slap. He said it really isn't the guy who built its fault, but I figured maybe he doesnt want to throw another guy under the bus. Should I try and get the shortblock builder to fix it or just leave ie the way it is?

How many miles on the engine?

If a custom engine, what weight oil are you running?

550 Miles on the custom engine. I ran 5w20 part synthetic for about 450 miles, than switched to 5w30 full synethetic and thats what I plan on staying with.

Piston slap will not get better with time, I'd at least talk to the builder...

I heard piston slap and extra noise is more or less normal with a forged engine is this true? My car has noise from the motor but it has never gotten worse and dies down a little bit when the car warms up.

Oh I know it won't get better but I was told it shouldn't really be a problem. More of an annoyance than anything else. Off topic but how have you been Cliff?

Yes its more common with forged parts, and mine is really loud when the motor first starts up when its a cold and then gets quieter (but is still kinda loud)

...Forged internals know to have a little piston slap until the pistons expand & the engine warms up...
