Not sure if your reading all the posts but lift is not what causes PTV issues. It is duration and LSA. Lift will add more power at all rpms and the higher lift you go you will need new springs. Depending on your heads and which cam you go with you may not even need to notch your pistons.

+1...i'm not sure he's getting this either lol.

OP, you really need to clearly define what it is that you want to do here. Do you definantly want to do heads? If so what type, or just a p&p. Do want to replace the intake as well, since you'll now have different heads and cams?

All these possible scenarios will determine what lift, duration, and lsa would be optimal. Cleary you should run blower cams (and better valve springs since you're boosted) but what exact specs will be determined by the rest of you're setup.

You can notch your pistons while they are still in the block, there is even a tool you can buy to do it. It is very time consuming and you have to be very careful while doing it. Can it throw off you rotating assemblies balance? It may.

This is definitely what you should be doing. If you really want to get the best out of your setup, then talk to someone who does custom grinds and have them grind a set of cams for your specific setup.
