Default RPM hang on 2000

it's fine when i normally drive it, but once i punch it and bring the RPMs to 3000 or over on WOT, it will lower from what ever RPM pretty quick, but it'll hang on 2000 for at least 10 seconds, and the longer i'm on WOT the longer it's gonna hang, once i raced my friend and did a 30-90 run, it hung for over a minute.
the mods are BBK O/R X pipe, magnaflow catback, UPR CAI, PI cams. I put a IAC restrictor plate. The car is tuned by BBR mail tune, i tried to punch the gas with both aftermarket and stock tunes, same result
if anyone ever had the same problem, let me know what the problem is.

i'm almost positive it's my IAC. it used to hold open with the tune, so i had to get a restriction plate. will try changing that first.
thank you

I would clean the IAC first. There is a chance that carb cleaner will remove the deposits that are causing it to hang. Only once did cleaning not work for me. In that case I had to get a new IAC.

it's the sensor on the side of your plenum, held by 2 bolts, and has a pipe coming from your air intake

If you know anyone w the same MAF you should try swapping to see if that helps. Your problem sounds similar to one I had and I was told that when you do a lot of induction work its not unusual to need to replace it. I cleaned mine too and it didn't help until I made the swap w a friends.

Well I just blew it out and started it up and don't have check engine light. I will see if it comes back on my next ride and to see if that fixed my rpm issue as well.

I am pegging my 90 LMAF so I need a new one this spring with a new tune.
