-Heard a ping type sound got more rapid as the week progressed was told was a bad cat then recommended it was a "loose rod".......

-Oil all leaked out, looked like small indentation hole on bottom right by headers....? pics to come this week

-Car bogged down and lost all power, i dont even want to start

did the motor blow? how why? she has 60k miles..mm =/ all stock just info in sig

how much this going to be? what should i do.

People blow up stock motors all the time. I've spun rod bearings on two motors never actually throwing a rod through the block (a 426 Dodge and a 350 Chevy). A rod knocking is usually a lot more than just a pinging sound. But if your leaking oil through a hole in the side of your block then that a pretty good sign that you've thrown a rod and its time for a new motor.

You should be able to pick up a low mileage 4.6 3v at a salvage year fairly cheap.

Well whatever way, whatever happened I blew it. I was wondering if I should even talk to Ford about it, I mean I literally had just got it from Ford Servicing & it just peaked the 09 warranty... and blows itself ? That I just don't get.

Other than that what ballpark price $$~ should I be seeing for a low mi 2v v8 or a 4v v8??? i mean i could even swap a 3v v8 right from the 08 gts??? what prices should i see for motor and install too..... thx all
