long block is basically a complete engine, short block is just the block and rotating assembly

It would benefit him more because of the added torque... If ran a twin screw than the stroker would be less important. However I believe that the more torque the better so stroke and twin sc, or better yet turbo.

The real question is how much rpm are you going to spin, with a supercharger you wont spin more than 6500-7k rpm anyway, so a stroker kit wont hurt you, but your better off just building a 5.4 block if that is your plan... I wouldnt stroke the 4.6 if I were you.
