Default Power to manual seat swap

I'm wanting to swap out my driver side power seat for a manual one. Will a passenger manual track bolt to my driver side okay without shifting the seat much? And also I've heard any 79-up manual track will work, true?

Just go to the pick and pull and get a manual drivers side track from a V6 mustang. I got one for $10.00 last week and did the swap.

And did your power seat bolt to it or did you swap seats too? How much of a weight difference was there between the tracks? Thanks.

^ this tells you a list of what a bunch of stuff in the car weighs.

it says that you get 20lbs going from a lighter front seats with manual sliders.

Just doesnt seem worth it unless your seat track doesnt work, i mean if you wanted to drop 20lbs out of your car just go on a diet and loose 20lbs.

I replaced my power seat track with a manual track because the power track has stripped gears and no longer moves back and forth.

It's a direct bolt in swap. I am planning to install aftermarket seats at some point so I didn't want to buy a new power track.

I also installed a seat track extension on the drivers side so while I had the seat out I swpped the track to a manual one.

I don't know the weight difference. I was mostly interested in being able to adjust my seat. I am 6'4" so I needed some leg room.

Its a real easy swap, plus sometimes my seat doesnt work and sometimes it does. I actually prefer a manual seat though. And this car is hardly ever driven, and mostly just a toy/track car, so 20lbs is 20lbs. And no diet for me, I am only 150lbs as it is! So this swap makes since for me.

Thanks for the help guys. I will be at a yard tomorrow and will see what I can find.
