Default Help: Gauge cluster issues

I just swapped my GT gauge cluster with the Mach 1 Gauge cluster. Everything works perfectly, only problem I'm having tho is the RPM gauge is not working appropriately. With the car on it shows that I'm idling at 0 RPM's. As far as the swap goes, I swapped the circuit board, started the car and saw the rpm issue, took the gauge cluster out and swapped the odometer gauge, reinstalled and have the same issue. Anyone have any insights on this?

Before playing with the pointers use the HEC (Hybrid Electronic Cluster) diagnostic mode (click here for more) to read the engine speed using the tAc, tachometer, mode.

If the engine speed is properly displayed then the HEC controller is receiving and processing the tachometer signal, and something wrong with the gauge connection to the flexible PCB, the gauge motor itself, or perhaps the needle position.

If 0 is displayed then the HEC is not receiving the tachometer signal from the PCM.

good idea. i figured since he was taking the gauge cluster apart, he moved the needles inadvertantly. but it could be the sensors, i suppose.

i actually did a little of both to fix it, I used the diagnostic mode and corrected the needle that way.
