The optimum answer would be figure out what you want the car to run at the track. Use cliffyk's site (paladinmicro.com). Enter your tire height, your trans, and figure out which gear is going to work for you in 4th gear at the traps for the MPH you want to run. I can tell you right off the bat from your other posts that 4.10s are probably not going to work for you.

For all you guys saying 4.10s, this kid's planning on building a blower motor worth about 700hp+ and thinking of spraying on top of it. He's going to run out of gear with a set of 4.10's unless he's revving it through the roof, not to mention the traction issues.

Well he probably shoulda mentioned that before asking about gears no? Why is he going with gears at all if hes gonna make 700+ and spraying on top of it? Makes no sense but whatevs...

we were all new once, tell us about what you've done to the car so far, what you're plans are for it, what your goals are, check out the stickies too and do a little research on your own

If you want a fast car, just learn to drive. No offense if you already can. But trust me, if you're making 700 at the wheels, you don't need to spray it. That should be a 9 sec. car without it. Depending on where you are in Jersey, I can put you in touch with a tuner that's going to give you tell you the best way to get where you want to go.
