Default New Project: step I engine build. What should I buy?

I have a mid-2001 GT with the TR3650 trans, I am taking this car I had in storage for III years and decided to build it its already a full bolt on car with a 8.8 31spline differential 4.10 ford racing gears. Im wanting to build the block top to bottom, money is not an issue and just was debating with some friends about what i should do first. should i port the stock pi heads and throw in a nice Comp Cams Stage II Xtreme Energy XE270AH Cams with Comp Cams Adjustable Cam Gears and Comp Cams Valve Springs Kit Beehive or should i just buy the Patriot Performance 2V Stage II Cylinder Heads instead of using the OEM factory pi heads? what about the bottom end to hold up on a wet 200 shot of nitrous?

If money is not a problem, then why not the Trick Flow heads, and maybe Kenne Bell or turbo on top of it.

Definitely do the bottom end first. That will let you spray more nitrous and allow you room for bigger top end combos.

+1 if money isnt an issue just get a new set dont waist your time with the factory heads. and i think that a 200 shot will be to much for the motor to handle mainly the rods. personally if it were me in your shoes i would pull and build that motor then go for the 200 shot or forced induction.

I want a nitrous car: Hp in a bottle, in every mustang ive owned has had nitrous on wide open throttle Are the trickflows better than patriot heads? and yes money isnt a problem though i am building this motor myself so i dont want to get to crazy with it.

imo you will be walkin a fine in with a 200 shot on a stock bottom end. that is pushing it farther than i would feel comfortable with.

I never said the bottom end will be stock when i spray the 200 shot I have 150 on the car now with the stock bottom end with the big soleniod valves so i can upgrade to bigger nozzles later when i have the motor built.

oooo ok if you forge the bottom end then you should be ok but i wouldn't juice it till then. otherwise you could be picking up bits of connecting rods out of your oil pan lol.
