Default Welded exhaust help.

Sup all I bought my car with the exhaust setup it has now. I had it up in the air and noticed that my exhaust Is all welded wtf! I have a exhaust leak and was going to loosen and retighten flanges but thats out of the picture. How can I fix this and get flanges back in there? I was also planning on upgrading clutch soon to.

Let me explain how this is cause its weird.

Long tubes welded to regular foot long pipe (seems like a spot to put in a cat to pass inspection) then that pipe is welded to my xpipe, and that is welded to the stock exhaust with flowmaster cut and welded in place of stock mufflers i believe.

Has anyone had experience with a situation like this? I love the sound minus the exhaust leak, but everything being welded is going to cause me problems with clutches and any drivetrain work in the future.

Is there any way to reflange everything? without breaking the bank. Worst case scenario I just wanna save the long tube, everything else can be replaced over time

wow, i can't imagine why anyone would see a need to weld everything up like that. the long-tubes are welded directly to the mid-pipes??

honestly, the only way to fix this is to start cutting the pipes out. have you located where the exhaust is leaking from yet?

the exhaust leak is from the pipe between the long tube and xpipe. its on top, I see exhaust deposits on the undercarriage of the car. I dont mind cutting, but what can I honestly save?

you can save it all i would say. Its gonna take some work to clean all the welds off. Can you post some pics so we can see?

+1 pics would really help. and i agree, if you're careful with your cutting you can save it all and piece it all back together with flanges.
