Default starter for high compression

Well my starter is dead and i need to get a replacement. Currently my compression is 10.5:1 due to the PI swap, I am planning on raising more eventually. Does anyone know of a starter that will handle say 12:1 and won't break the bank.

Yeah, i was wondering if you had it. I just pulled mine out and for some reason the top "death" bolt wasn't in there. I had messed with the stater when i did the PI swap but i never got it out and then figure away around getting the starter out. I wonder if i just loosened it enough it fell out on its own over the last year and half. Thanks agian.

If the top bolt was not there, chances are the starter has been replaced before
Real PITA to get top bolt back in

I just realised that when i had the transmission replaced last winter so the shop guy probably didn't put the third bolt back in. Makes alot more sense now. I suppose that no one has had a problem with it not being in and I suppose i didn't have any problems for the last 14 months.

Well if your ordering anything from Latemodelrestoration.com or need other parts, they carry that same Pa starter for $135 as well, might save you on shipping if you had something else you needed.
