Brake question

Default Brake question
Over the last month or so I have noticed that when I brake hard my parking brake light comes on like I have the emergency brake pulled. As soon as I come to a complete stop the light goes out. I have checked the fluid and it is full and there is no play in the parking brake. Any ideas on what would cause this?

Pads look good from what I can tell. Car has 24,000 with original brakes.
