Question HELP BRAKE LIGHTS!!!!!!!

All my brake lights went out. The tail lights come on, reverse lights work, and blinkers do. Only the brake lights. I assume a fuse but not sure. I am in Texas 500 miles away from my owners manual. I dont know which fuse is what. Any ideas?

It could be a fuse, but its most likely a BOO (brake on-off) switch. the switch is on the brake pedal itself. Make sure its being pressed when pressure is applied to the brake pedal.. using a test light, there are 2 wires going to this switch. One is green/red stripe which should have power at all times, and the red/green stripe should be hot only when the brake pedal is applied. if you have power going into the switch and not out.. theres your culprit. If you have power in and out, then you have a more serious problem. No power to switch, then its fuse or wiring related.

I actually have the same problem and was about to order the switch when I saw this thread. I figured it was the switch because like the OP everything else works fine, except the brake lights, just haven't gotten down to test it yet. At least this kinda confirms it because all the fuses are good too.

Seriously? I have it all there for you. Check fuse 33 under the dash on the drivers side. Also, check fuse 41 same spot. if those 2 fuses are good, then proceed to test the switch like I said

Okay, all fuses are good, new brake switch in, could it be the turn signal switch? cuz that didn't fix it.

Yeah, tested all the fuses, replaced the switch, then tested the new one, all of it is good, still no brake lights. I have been talking it over with some of the guys here (work at a body shop) and the only other thing we could come up with is the turn signal switch without it being a more serious problem. May look into that this weekend, what you think?
