Don't forget your COPs. My stang was sputtering and mifiring which I thought was bad gas. Long story short, my #7 spark plug blew out of my motor one morning on the way to work ( normal driving) I towed it to a shop and they I installed a time sert and changed the COP boot since the COP looked good. It ran like sh*t which I chalked up to bad gas. Then decided to change the #7 COP just in case. Still ran bad. Changed the fuel filter, EGR, DPFE sensor, still ran bad and got worse (stalling out and misfirng like hell) so I took it to my friends shop and he read that #6 was misfiring. Changed the COP boot and spring. Poof! Ran like a champ. So I changed the #6 COP just to because andinstalled a boot and spring kit for the rest of my COPs. Now I get "showroom floor" idle and bad *** gas mileage. 21-25 mpg mixed driving.
