Default Wheel bearing help

I hit a curb about a couple months ago, and my rear wheel makes a weird noise and goes away when i apply breaks. (i'm sure its the wheel bearing). Is it difficult to change your self? If i were to go get a rear wheel bearing from auto zone is there any specific brand i should choose over another? Do i need to buy anything else as well instead of the wheel bearing? Also are there any instructions? Sorry for all the questions guys, THANKS!

Also at first when i hit the curb, I thought the sound was coming from the right front tire so i changed the wheel bearing for that, and realized the sound is from the rear. When i changed the front bearing I remember I had to go to the FORD DEALER and get this nug for it that goes in the middle of the bearing, Do i do the same for the rear? Thanks

It is a little involved but not that hard. Jack the rear up, drain the diff and pull the diff cover. take the brakes off (calipers, rotors, ABS sensor, everything). Then take the driveshaft lock pin out. slide the axles in and remove the c clips. Pull the axles out. Next step you need a slide hammer to get the bearings out. once they're out, the new bearings need to be hammered in with a punch or something till they are fully seated. Then install the axle seals. Now you just have to reassemble everything. Thats pretty much it. I did mine in prob 2 hours in my garage.

got the same problem. took it to fastlane motorsports down here and i was told the best thing to do would be to change all the bearings. axle bearings, carrier bearings, seals and maybe the axle. you can do it yourself but it's tedious. $400-500.
