Question 03/04 Fake Cobra idea and pics please

I never have owned a Mustang in my life (always been a GM guy). But I have never had anything against Mustangs, have always liked them. It's another American muscle car of course.

I have always loved the 03-04 Cobras, but at the prices they are still going for, I cannot afford one at this time.

My brother in law just purchased a used 08' 427R SC Mustang with only 5k on the clock. He also has an 03' Mustang GT 5 speed with 80k on the clock. I told him I wanted to get into a Mustang like his and make it into a Cobra with the looks and throw a Cobra blower on it.

He offered to sell me the car for 4k when he get's back from Afghanistan and retires from the Marines. He is the original owner and the car is very well taken care of. He never raced it, just played a little on the street and almost all the miles are highway.

What would I need to make a Cobra blower fit on this stang(if it's possible)? I have noticed Mustang parts are everywhere as well as Cobra parts!

By the way, if anyone has transformed a GT to a Cobra, do you have any pics? Thanks.

You wouldnt able to put the exact cobra blower on there because they do have two different engines and if it was me I would not have any cobra emblems or stuff other than body parts on the car at all, wouldnt want to be that guy... there are a couple really good looking GTs on here that have the cobra body parts and blowers though, pretty sick

Yeah, I wasn't interested in the emblems or anything. I like the rear spoiler lip, headlights, hood, bumpers, wheels. Those kinds of things. I could care less if I didn't remove the GT emblems. I just like the body parts of the cobra much better. I do want to put a twin screw/roots under the hood. Would be cool to find a used Whipple too.

^yeah, the cobra has a 4v 4.6l (03/04 have a supercharger) where the gt has the 2v 4.6l engine... you can buy a blower for the 2v GT engine- I would not rebadge the car though with cobra badges, that is really frowned upon, especially on this forum- you will get flamed... do some research on the forum (use the search function) and read through the stickies that already have a ton of really good information

Ahhhhh, didn't know that the GT was a 2v. Looks like I have alot more research to do on blowers then as well for these cars.

www.torktech.com

Check out their roots kit for the 1999-2004 GTs. It allows you to use the m112 off an 03/04 cobra on your factory motor.

Cobra Body Parts are ok IMO, its the badgesthat make it gay. You could buy tork techs 2v manifold and supporting mods and get a used eaton of the cobra for like $300 if thats really what you want
