Inside the IAC...

I wonder if this is what is going on with my car. I am already have idleing issues now and again but i do have a noise that only occurs through lite throttle. If you see my video on my old post about 96 GT ticking noise, let me know if this was anything similar to what you have heard Cliffy. I'm at work and cant add that to this? Did it ever go away/quiet down as the car warmed up/driving more than 15-20mins.
On my '03 GT it did at first lessen and go away as the engine warmed, however after 250-300 miles of occasional noise it became more frequent.

i absolutely hate the iac design. they're straight up garbage. this is happening to me right now, the iac is actually sticking open causing my revs to hold at like 2.5k. i literally just put this iac on not even a year ago. looks like ill have to drop $120 on a new one, because im not buying another aftermarket one.

The description of noises, in text, is highly influenced by our life experiences. I once had a mechanic under my supervision describe a curious noise from a production machine as "sounding like a typewriter".
for you younger folks:
It didn't sound even a little bit like a typewriter to me--turns out his older sister was blind and used a braille typewriter at home...
