OP on this thread =

I'm confused. Either way what do you plan to do OP? Whole new built block, or junkyard used block + forged rotating assembly?
A bunch of local guys flew Eric Brooks up here for a few days. He tuned a bunch of cars off our local board.

I didn't beat the car. Flooring it once a per gas tank isn't beating on it IMO. I really took good care of my car. I'd never do burnouts or launch it at high rpms or anything like that. Obviously I'd never do anything to it at a cold start, that's just foolish IMO. And as a tribute to the cooling system, the entire engine ran cool. The engine temp gauge never even read halfway.

But anyways, yeah I wanna put all the 2V naysayers in their place. I think I'm gonna go with a MMR 900 2V longblock with an aluminum block and stroker option to put her up to 5.0L. I'll probably just keep the ford heads that come with the longblock just to try to save money. Later on I'm sure I'll throw on some TF heads and a nice blower cam setup. It'll be awesome, but again I wanna be smart with my transmission too, so I'll see where I'm at with the 5.0L and 9psi, and I'll go from there.

Hahahahah Now you're playing with fire on your tranny

Would suck to rebuild a new block, stroke it and then blow your tranny up with your power. Id just throw a forged rotating assembly in a fresh block and be happy with 10-11 PSI. You're only as fast as your slowest part. If your tranny cant handle the power and your rear end cant plant it for ****, whats the point? Either way good luck i'm gonna throw my KB on here in about a month and hope for the best. Since i'm auto i'll be happy with 380 to the wheels and around 400ish TQ.

sorry to bring this back but i just saw this. Sorry to hear the bad news thunderhorse. Looks like its time to upgrade
Too bad you werent closer, id loan you my stock s/b until you had the funds to upgrade. The MMR900 is a good choice. As far as the tranny, keep an eye out in the classified for the various other forums. Lots of good deals to be had if you spot them quickly. I bought my T-56 off of corral for $1,300. 26,000 miles on it and included the 26 spline input shaft upgrade, DFX(i believe anyways) clutch, all wireing, mounting bracket, and alum drive shaft. Just have to keep your eyes open.

ford gt500s and z06 vettes make alot more than 360rwhp and work just fine with the stock tunes...

Just to put this all into perspective..

A maf curve that works, will will keep everything pretty close to where it needs to be, if you put it on the safe side, even if something is a little out of whack, it should still be pretty damn safe...

Hell to take soemthing setup for 10.0 afr and make it unsafe, it would have to be off almost 20percent...
