I just recently had one of my spark plugs come out of my head pulling the head threads out with it. Ive heard that this was a common occurance with the modular engines. I have a 99gt that just passed the 100k mile mark. Does anyone happen to know if this is something that has happened to anyone else, and if ford will cover this. Just want to know before i put a heli coil and new plug and coil in. Thanx for your time everyone!

it must be common enough - there is a TSB on it. I wouldn't count on Ford paying for anything but you can always try.

Under new warranty they say to replace the heads

excuse me for not knowing the abbrv. but what do you mean by there is a TSB about it.

no there is no recall. ford wont cover anything. a tsb is a technical service bulletin, and is used to get info about common issues to technicians.
