the only benefit i've ever seen from a plate is being able to run nitrous or using it as a source for a boost/vac (which is the only reason i run one)

Total waste for sure. I had one when I did my upper intake work and when I went to put it on, i had a hard time getting everything back on, then I took it off and realized the throat opening is smaller than what my Accufab is, so it would restrict the flow...I threw it in our metal scrap pile.
