Noise under shifter
I have a 96 gt 4.6 there is a noise coming from under the shifter....5 speed....its like a ping i cant really describe it and it shifts hard into 3rd sometimes as well. Also the car pulls to the right when i break....any suggestions?

Is the noise constant, or only in between shifts? Does it change at all in rate or pitch according to vehicle speed? That's a weird one. As far as the pulling during braking, could be a low tire, poor alignment, or time to do new brakes in the front.

I just had a noise in my `00 GT when I shifted. Turned out to be loose bolts that hold the driveshaft to the rear.
Hard going into gear could be a synchronizer going bad.
I had a car that pulled to the right when I braked. The problem turned out to be a bad brake hose on the front wheel. As the hoses get older they can collapse internaly. When that happens, the car will pull in the direction of the hose that is not collapseing. There are other reasons that your car can be pulling to one side, I`m just saying why mine did.

its not constant but it does it when im shifting esp from 1, 2, n 3, just sounds like somethings loose. Im doing a tune up on it today so im hoping its not as gutless after that.......im not sure what the noise could be tho......
