No, you should be shifting past 6k to take advantage of those cams. You should be fine as long as your springs are in good shape. Why did you lower the 1-2 shift to 5900?

My cams are almost identical to your VT stage 1's, and i shift around 6200-6300 on average.

Without seeing a dyno graph of your car it's hard to say, but in general i'd be looking around 6200 on average. The 1-2 shift could probably stand to be a tad higher, but again these are just estimates. You really need to have it dynoed to see where the optimum shift points should be.

the maximum in the [redator is 6200 so you suggest that i switch from 5900 to 6200 for the 1-2? i know it woyld be better with dyno but im talking about the safe numbers.....

I would definitely up the 1-2 to at least 6200. You will be fine at that rpm.

ok but somtimes it goes over than 6200 ! specially the 2-3 goes to 6500 and somtimes more :s, so should i change the 2-3 less then 5700 ? so it would never go over or rech the 6500?

Are you familar with how the 1-2 & 2-3 & 3-4 shifts happen? There is always a delay and that delay needs to be factored in when setting the shift points. Read this article and it will help you to set your shift points. http://tccoa.com/articles/tranny/tra...on/page3.shtml

here is some specific information on the delays in shifting http://tccoa.com/articles/tranny/tra...on/page6.shtml

I have my shift points set to

1-2 5,000
2-3 5,600
3-4 5,300

The actual shifts happen at about 6,000

Are you a manual or automatic transmission?

shouldnt be spinning past 6250~ on stock valve springs. the valves can float after that. if you had new valvesprings and stuff put in, your tuner may have done that on purpose (if u had it dyno tuned).
