Default Fuel issues

Ok so I've owned about 15 cars in my life and this is probably the most annoying and simple problem i've ever had. I just bought an 02 GT last week and every time I put gas in it the nozzel keeps clicking off like the car is full. The only way I can get gas in it is to hold the grip below the first click and it takes forever! And yes I tryed not to stick it in so far...giggidy...and to stick it in as far as it can go...giggidy goo...but nothing is working. And also my gas gauge is sticking in between a full tank and 3/4 of a tank so I was wondering if the 02 GT came with the white face gauges from the factory or if someone put it in my car but it didnt fit right. Any help would be appreciated! THANKS!

when you figure it out. let me know, when i fill up it only will take take 7 gallons tops and reads half-way on the gauge every time. although i don't have a problem actually putting the gas in. white face gauges also here. pretty sure the needle is f...'d up on mine.

My 02 has black gauges. White must be aftermarket. Unsure about the filling issue. Does this happen at all pumps? May be the actual pump being to sensitive.

No its every pump I go to at every gas station I go to. I've tried everything I can think of, tilting the nozzel, start slow and go faster but nothing is working. But thanks for the cluster color, atleast thats something small.

My '03 does not exhibit that behavior in any way--however here in Florida we do not have those silly accordion pleated vapor recovery condoms on the filler nozzles and I am able to insert the nozzle deeply into the filler pipe--"to the hilt" (keeping with the juvenile humor theme)...

I had the same problem last summer! The attendant would have to click the trgger like 5 times and it would finally stay on. I have no idea what caused it. It just stopped doing it after a while.
