Default rear end noise around corners

I have been having some clunking noise coming from the rear end when i go slow from a stop or around corners slow. That only happens once the cars warms up for 15 minutes. I thought it was my exhaust so i messed around with that for days before thinking it might be the rear. I had my buddy rebuild it for me in February, new gears 3:73, new frpp tlok and bears etc a little over 1000 miles ago.

I just changed the fluid in it yesterday and drove it around and it was a little quieter but still bad. I just put the car on stands and turn the rear tires and they both move the same way. I swear that they use to move the opposite way of each other when i did it awhile ago.

Do i need a new tlok, rebuilt it and can i do that myself without having to align the gears again or what else could it be? And it is just a stock rear end, 28 spline nothing special about it except that it breaks a lot.

Also it seems if i spin it and then go the other way fast, it breaks free and the other tire moves the other way a couple inches and makes a noise like when rubbing a balloon on your hand.

What did you use for gear oil, if it was not synthetic oil did you add friction modifier?

The friction modifier make the gear oil "slipperier", the t-lock clutch packs will bind and pop and creak if conventional "dino" oil is used without f/m.

Also, on a LSD the wheels do turn the same way when up on stands--they turn opposite directions on an open differential...

Lucas gear oil was used 80/90 with a bottle of f/m my buddy said. i used the same when i changed the oil.
This is the carrier i used. I bought it new from summit since it was broken.

The Ford spec calls for 75W-140 plus 4oz. f/m -- it may be that the thinner gear oil is not lubricating the clutch packs once it heats up?

bad u-joints will cause a clunking noise when turning L or R, if the u-joints are good it's more then likely the clutch packs, If you have a load of mileage on the u-joints change them, they are cheaper then clutch packs.

holy... i will give that a shot and I'll next time. Thanks, always count on you for good answers. I'll let you know how it goes.

As far as the u-joints. The u-joints are the originals w/ 46k on them. Their getting changed as well, along with my outer trans seal and tranny fluid that is leaking all over gods earth.
