Default pi intake swap and throttlebody/plenum

Im planing to do the pi intake swap and was wondering if it would be worth to do the upper plenum and throttlbody with this intake. I know it doesn't make much power with the stock intake but what about with the pi intake or would it still not be worth it without the heads and cams.

My plans are the keep the car n/a and do the pi intake, plenum and throttlebody if its worth it, steeda under drive pulleys, o/r h pipe with a good set of flowing mufflers, pi cams. sct tuner,4.10 gears and maybe upgrade the ignition. would like to do headers but it looks way to hard to do.

you need to swap the heads to get the power. I've got an assembled set (w/cams) for sale 175

if the money is there do it. it doesn't hurt anything and it will increase throttle response somewhat. on a side note....i have a set of pi cams with cam gears already pressed on if ur interested. let me know. headers are a pain in the a$$.

I would love to do the heads to but I have never done it before and the cost to have them installed is crazy.I have changed timing chain on a 302 before but the 2 cams on the 4.6 looks way to hard to do, plus if you mess up and get off by a tooth you mess things up pretty quick. Im pretty sure the 302 is a none interference motor that if you get off by a few teeth it just want start.

Would also like to put cams in it but got to thinking that if im going to put cams in why not put something better in than a pi cam? then still I have to deal with the timing. pretty much the timing thing has got me spoked. I have heard that you can swap cams without pulling the timing cover off but I havent found a in depth article to see how.

If I did do the head swap I would still have to deal with the headers and I dont see how you can even get to them, they would have to come out from the bottom right?

yes indeed.....then and only then is it worth the hassel in my opinion. and by the way when i did the pi cam/intake swap i gained approx 30 rwhp so deff worth it in my opinion if you are on a budget. i say approx because i never got it tuned or dynoed with the pi swap, but i could beat stockish pi stangs, which have around 30rwhp more then us npi guys.
