need help!!timing chain install

Default need help!!timing chain install

i just in stalled a new timing chain set with all new guides ,chains,tensioners ,got evrything together and started it and its idling at 2500 to 2000rpm and i noticed when i turned the car of i removed the oil cap and it almost blew it out of my hand, im almost positive that evrthing is lined up wright,this is my first 4.6 tear down,iv had several 5.0s...please help me

Sounds to me as though the valve timing if not correct.

Here's the procedure from the '03 shop manual...

WAS ALL UR TIMING DOTS WHERE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE..11 0'CLOCK FOR PASS..1 0'CLOCK FOR DRIVER...6 0'CLOCK FOR CRANK...WITH GOLD OR COPPER LINKS ON THOSE DOTS....ALSO MAKE SURE OF NO VACUUM LEAKS..

dude i just spent yeserday and today ripping i back apart and redid evrything and did evrything wright again start it it idles at 2000 and if i give gas to about 4500rpm it stay tha high after i take my foot off the gas and slowly dropps in rpm,im so pissed ,im pretty sure its somthing stupid ive checked evrthing dont think i have anyvacum leaks tha i know of,didnt remove any just the cranck case tube that goes from valve cover to cover
