Default Drag radials on New Edge

ok so i'm contemplating getting some prolite wheels and some drag radials to put on em. im thinkin of 15x10's, but don't know what size tire i should get. when goin to the track i would remove the quad shocks, which would free up a little room, but still don't know how big i can go. i do plan on also gettin UCA's and LCA's and don't know if that'll change anything fit-wise. thanks for the help!

Why don't you go with a bias-ply tire?

well the first reason is because i have no clue what that is lol. i don't have much knowledge about tires, and im only lookin for two rear ones that i can drag race on at the track only. these will not be DD's, but they will hafta be able to get me safely to and from the track, as i will most likely be driving the car there.

15x10's is probably too much tire for your power level. Consider a more narrow size.

Do you have any brand preference? Mickey Tompsons/Hoosiers/BFG's/Nittos/M&H's/etc?

no don't really care on brand, whatevers cheapest. in the next couple weeks i should be hittin ~260 rwhp, maybe a bit more. i expect to be in the low 13s, maybe high 12s a little down the line, N/A. also, what size should i consider, and when would i be able to consider a 15x10??

ditto, if you have too much tire like the Mickey Tompsons SS/drag radials your going to bog down when you launch, you really want a very very little spin/slip, barely chirping as your leaving the line. MTSS are excellent tires for street or track, best for track only, street use will wear them out quick, they're really soft and sticky. I wouldn't get very wide ones either.

I'd run a 15x8 with a 275 on it. Then you need to throw some gears on to help you out.

I believe it would do better with a narrower tire and wheel, 275 looks nice but looks does nothing for your time , trap or 60', 3-4" front wheel will help your time as well.
