Default Anyone With Koni's + Coilovers?

Here's a question to anyone runnin Koni single adjustable front struts (and rear shocks too?) with coilovers-

first off, what strut are you running (model number/year/body style), what spring rate, what caster/camber plates, and what coilover kit.

i'm lookin for replacement struts for my QA1 crap, and have pretty much settled on Koni Single Adj and want to hear more opinions about them. also heard that if you plan on having your car lowered all the time its better to go with Fox body struts as they come lower to begin with?

I used to run a Koni Yellow with 300# springs up front. I was happy with them, although I never once adjusted them. The spring rate was great for the street, but not nearly heavy enough for AX. I don't run them any longer and never ran anything else as I no longer have struts

what coilover kit/CC plates? i have 2 options for springs, 14x225 or 12x300. runnin the 14x225's right now, 300's just too stiff for the QA1's since they're fallin apart it seems.

I ran Koni Yellows with Griggs CC plates and not sure who's springs or the length. Yours are not heavy springs, so figure the struts were likely not matched well to them if they are now shot.

i called QA1 and they said best match would be 14x175's, the problem is, QA1 is crap lol. i havent found 1 person who actually enjoys QA1 products on thier stang. thier tech didnt seem like he knew anything.

so its koni yellows with a MM c/o kit. gunna set me back - them damn subframes are just itchin for me to hit "buy" but i need to fix everything up front first before i can add anything else.

SFC's should be absolutely #1 upgrade.... period!

If you don't have them yet, get them ASAP as they will give you a vast overall improvement in your rides performance.

Yea, i keep meanin to get em, hell i even have a welder to weld them in myself if i want to(which reminds me, im gunna need a new bottle of argon soon..) problem is, do i fix QA1 crap first (450 if i go with konis + MM, 360 if i go koni + UPR) or get the subframes (130$ from MM)

the QA1 ride isnt so bad i cant drive it, its just embarassing every time i hit a bump or turn the wheel at a dead stop or brake hard, it creaks and is noisy and clunky as hell.

Well, I am partial to the Konis and will never need to replace them, but maybe revalve them someday, as I understand.

Get them done and get some SFC's!!!!

I just installed a KONI SPORT KIT on my 2002 GT and its awesome. I had no experience so it took me all day, i forgot to install the rubber bumpers. so the rear was clunking over bumpy roads. i fixed it yesterday and couldnt be happier. they are so easy to adjust with the provided screw ****. The Sport kit did moderate lowering i was expecting more to be honest. but its low enough to be hitting my exhaust on the yellow speed bumps. i believe koni-na.com still has the sale going on until 6/30 i paid 623 $ shipped for mine. BTW I am running Maximum Motorsports Camber-Caster Plates from americanmuscle.com for 195$ . they recomended a professional allignment which i still have to do. cause the front tires are chaffing since the install on speeds over 70mph
