Default a/c line issue

about a month or 2 ago, one of the lines that goes from the radiator through the firewall, the rubber part of the hose which is about a foot long sunk down and melted on my long tube. it melted a hole in it and all the freon pissed out and the a/c now blows warm. i did my best to rig the line so its sealed and it seems to be. i tried to put freon in the system but it didnt seem like it was getting sucked in. any suggestions? -thanks

and yes the a/c was on max full blast

tht is so wierd i just had the same thing happen on my 96gt and posted on mod fords. It is the liquid line tht runs from the condensor to the evaporator. it has an orifice tube in the middle of it also. its about $25 to $30 at any parts place. just get an ac line tool kit to remove the line. replace the line and check to see if it holds pressure, then evac the system and pull into 30inches of vacume for 30min. then charge the system. after the first pound of freon goes in turn yur car on and turn ac on max while u put the rest of the freon into the system.

Good luck my friend and wish me the same. its 100+ in Fresno where i live.

unfortunatley no. just hit up yur local auto zone or napa and get the liquid line. that is the one we both need to replace. then get the cheap pack of the ac line coupling removal tools.like 10 bux. remove the ends of the line where they meet at the firewall and the condensor, then pull the 8mm bolt that holds the rubber section of the line to the firewall next to the passanger side header. and bam, its out. repeat backwards and yur all good. i just did mine and it was easy. if u need help pm me.
