Default Headliner removal

I am going through the stereo installation process and decided to put dynamat on the roof to as it sounds like a drum without any dampening material.

I went through the whole interior disassemble process and when I started removing headliner I discovered that it glued to the roof.

When I tried to push it down I almost dented my roof as it sinks down every time a pull headliner. I wanted to give up whole idea, but I broke glue in couple spots so it started to rattle.

Here are my questions:

1) Any ideas how to remove it without damaging the roof?
2) What glue to use to put it back? I need something that dries quick but not to fast so I have time to align it properly. How hard it will be to put it back?

3) Should I just gave up the idea and use 3M tape to glue broken spots and not put dynamat on the roof?

I'm probably about to make an a$$ out of myself, but I thought the headliners were glued to a backer board of sorts, and the board is held in place by all the surrounding trim and visors and whatnot. So, the whole thing should come out I would think, though you may have to take out one of the seats and turn the headliner sideways to make it fit through the door...Maybe I'm way off base though-hopefully someone else will chime in.

I took it out yesterday. I had interior removed for dynamat installation purposes.
However, jut for the headliner with backing boar removal all you need to do is to remove A and B pillars and weatherstripping on doors. Then remove visors (4 screws/each)and the dome light (unclip transparent cover and you will see screws). Then unclip visor's wire harness.

To pull the whole assembly out you will have to very carefully brake the glue which holds it. I did the corners first and them having my arm elbow dip between backing board and roof I was braking a glue. It took us about 10-15 minutes to break the glue.

The passenger seat was removed so I didn't have any problems removing it from the car.

Now my question is which glue to use to attach it back to the roof?
