2003 GT Motor Problems
So as the title states, Im seeing some bad motor problems and one of the main problems is overheating while under boost. Ill list all my mods at the bottom. I took the car in a few weeks ago thinking I had a possible Head Gasket Blown.
The shop had the car for 3 days and at the end, they said they fixed everything other than it needed a tune. I recently moved to El Paso TX from Tampa FL so yeah 4k elevation diff and only 91 Gas here.
Well First off I used some Lucas Octane Booster which fouled 3 of my plugs, Then supposidly the radiator was clogged so the flushed it, also they checked the oil for coolant leakage and nothing, which i figured there would have been, they also changed out some hoses that were supposidly colapsing due to oldness, and a new thermostat just in case, lastly a new radiator cap.
Now when I got the car back it seemd a little slugish, So I put in a set of new NGK TR6s gapped at .032, Then I took her for a little drive and she ran like normal. So i figured hey lets try her under boost, so I got onto it and within 30 secs of coming of the accelerator at 120, the heat was at 3/4 and still climbing. I started to back way off and drive normal and it started to cool down within 5 mins.
As I drove the car 10 more mins and got to the house it was heating up again little by little and I could see water coming from behind me, I poped the hood and coolant was everywhere, and the cap was steaming and the coolant was just booiling hot.
Some of the problems I noticed before was gases trying to escape from the radiator cap, I didnt smell like exhaust fumes but was just pouring out from under the cap, with the radiator cap off I noticed every once in a while bubbles but there were 1 every 5 mins or so. Also the fan was turining on and staying on didnt seem intermitent, Every once inawhile I do notice some white smoke but very little coming out of the passanger side Tailpipe for maybe 1-2 mins then it stops
So after a long ranting on I dont know what the hell is wrong with my car other than a blown head gasket anyone else have any freaking clue?
