Default what are offset steering rack bushings?

i read the thread about if u hear a creak in your steering when turning the wheel amd you steering rack moves a little bit u can either cut the metal sleeve down a little bit or run polyurathane bushings. well i was looking at poly bushings and saw offset steering rack bushings. what are these? do i want them or do i just want regular ones?

these can be used to offset the steering rack up to help reduce bumpsteer with lowering springs

probably wouldnt need them with stock style suspension, however if you have coilovers with a 2" drop or more, then they might be a cheap way to fix bump steer.

one way to really tell if you need them is if on a bumpy road your car feels uncontrolable (like it wants to steer all over the place by itself) then you have bumpsteer.

tho, honestly, if you have bumpsteer that bad, you probably need a bumpsteer kit.

I had the creaking noise.. I cut the tube brackets in the steering rack and the steering is much more "direct" and there is no more noise. Cost me $0.

I too was going to get poly bushings, but there is no need. Steering is much better
