Cruise Control Now Working (Sorta)
Guess I'm feeling like a mechanic and wanting to fix all the little things with my car this week. Anyway I installed an aftermarket quadrent and Firewall adjuster maybe a year ago or more. Well, after a couple weeks of driving and adjusting the firewall adjuster I noticed that my Cruise Control stopped working. Here's the sorta part. Sometimes if I pull up on the clutch pedal with my foot while driving the cruise control will engage, but once I let the clutch pedal down the cruise control disengages. I thought the pedal was resting on some sort of sensor but when I tried to start the car without pushing down the clutch pedal the car won't start. So I need help on figuring out what's up.
Also my buddy has a mustang as well and his clutch pedal feels like butter when you press down on it. My pedal requires a lot more effort (once I got used to his). Could this be causing the problem? A little back story, brefore I replaced the stock clutch I purchased a new clutch cable and it worked well for a couple weeks and then started to get harder and harder to push down. Installed a new clutch but kept the old cable, I thought with the new clutch the cable would have been easier to push with a none defective clutch.
