1996 Mustang GT odometer/tripometer repair?
Howdy,
Sorry for the repeat from Tech.
Has anyone successfully repaired the mechanical odometer and trip odometer on a 1996 or similar Mustang GT? Ford wants a fortune for a new cluster, the aftermarket options for this year are virually none, and I don't trust a used high mileage unit ala Ebay. I've heard it could be as simple as replacing a gear or an issue with the speed sensor.
Any help and possible success stories most appreciated!

I have a 97 GT Convertible....odometer and trip odomoter just quit working....poor odomoter..107525 miles!

I've got a 1997 GT Convertible with 57K and the odometer/tripometer also stopped working a month ago... Anybody evey get a reply as to how to fix this problem? Thanks, Ivan

Sorry I can't offer any real help here, but that almost sounds like a dream come true LOL. Speedo still works but she isn't clocking any miles....SWEET.
If you guys figure out the fix, let me know so I can break mine and keep the miles I have. LOL.
