Any one know how hard it is to replace the drivers side steering arm on a 98gt?

The steering arm is part of the spindle assembly.

You need to remove the wheel, caliper, rotor, backing plate & ABS sensor; next remove the bolts fastening the strut to the spindle, and then remove ball joint castle nut and pop the spindle off the ball joint.

Hmm that might be beyond me haha. What do you think that would run at a shop?
Or if I were to get brave would the parts have to be ordered through a dealer or is there a bertter place to try and get those parts?

Thanks and sorry bout any crappy typing i'm on an iPad and apparently typing isn't all that easy.

I am curious as to what might be wrong with the steering arm that would require it's replacement--is it bent?

Well I'm not 100% sure what is going on as it is a used car I am looking at. but the seller claims that a mechanic told then their steering arm is bent or twisted and will need to be replaced. I haven't had a chance to go see the car yet so I who knows what is really going on haha

When you say "Steering Arm" do you mean the inner and outer Tie Rods

There are of course a steering arms, one could not steer the car if there were not--and they can/do get bent.

They are integral with the spindle casting as they are on most modern vehicles--it is the part sticking off to the left in this photo.
