Default Transmission Install, which direction

In the middle of a fresh rebuild of my motor, Transmission still in car, is it best to pull out trany and bolt it onto motor before putting them both in as a whole or try and install it after motor is put back in the car... whats easiest?

all at once would be easier, expecially since the transmission helps to support the motor. It'll help to that you won't have to bolt the trans in with very little space.
