Default Kenne bell 2.1 no boost?

So I finally got done installing the 2.1. I have a auto meter boost guage also installed. At idle, it is readind 20in of vac. At WOT, it is reading 0lbs of boost. Is there something I am missing? I double checked the vac lines and everything seems to be in the right spot. I hear the SC whine at WOT, but it does not seem to make much more if any more power than it did before the install.

The boost gauge shakes when it gets to zero, like it really wants to go past it, but can't. My buddy said to force the actuator open and see if it boosts then, but Im not sure about that.

+1, it sounds as though the bypass valve is not closing...

Is there an easy way to test this?

I can watch the BTV moving as I rev the motor at idle. Is there any other way to test it? Is there any way I could have the boost gauge hooked up wrong? I have it tied into the same vac port as the interior HVAC vacuum port on the back of the intake. Is that wrong?

Im pretty bummed. I have spent the past 7 days getting this all hooked up. I was hoping for it ti work right off the bat

iirc my buddy said it is just a hex head bolt or something on the bpv that can make it bypass all the boost or let it make boost. I would look to see of that bolt or what ever is set to the right setting.

Yeah I thought it may have been that as well. It has a valet mode. I checked it per the instructions but that does not seem to be the issue from what I can tell.

It definitely sounds like the BPV isn't working properly. Start the car and rev the engine from under the hood by hand. You should be able to see the BPV open and close. If it doesn't close when the engine is WOT above, say 3500rpm, it isn't working properly. If it isn't on "valet mode" then you most likely need a new one.

When I was reving it from under the hood last night, I could see the BPV arm opening and closing. I am pretty sure from the directions that it is not in valet mode. Would the arm still open and close if it was in valet mode?

So, I thought it may have been a vac leak at the FPR. I replaced the line but still no boost. I can see the BPV actuator moving when reving at idle. Does it still seem like the BPV is faulty?
