Hi would a factory h pipe from an 02 gt fit perfect in a 96 gt ?

I was told a mac off road h-pipe from a new edge would fit a 96-98 sn95 so it's probably the same thing for the stock h-pipe

is this for inspections (or whatever you guys have over there that is like the Ca. Smog stuff.)

I think the earlier (96-98) GTs had 2 more pre-cats if I am thinking correctly. If it is for passing an inspection they may pick up on that.

Not sure if it will fit or not though.

bump, someone has to know if a new edge h pipe will fit a 96 gt.. I need one asap and can only find a stock new edge one... thanks again

No a 99/04 h pipe won't fit on a 96-98 GT, I asked the exact same question on here 2 years ago when I had to pass emissions here in CT lol. But I had an H pipe from a 02 GT, put my car on a lift, and tried to swap out my o/r x for the H, and it doesn't quite match up right. Everyone on here told me it would, though. Too bad I sold my 97 3 weeks ago I'm in CT and woulda just gave you the stock 96-98 H pipe I had lol.
