well it sounded to me like you were telling him his problem was going to go away because of that CEL.

IAC shouldnt have anything to do with that specific code, but it could be possible i guess.

start by fixing the real problem and get a new iac. then disconnect ur battery for 5 minutes to clear the code and see if it comes back, then u can worry about it. but get the important stuff worked on now.

I do thank you both for all your help Im doing a few things this payday Im getting a new IAC sensor and Im going to see what they did to my O2 sensors if there even hooked up or what. Ive also noticed when my car is cold and if Im getting up to speed second gear will grind upshifting and down shifting if I dont hold in the clutch for a second or two longer. When Its a hot day or all warmed up it will only do it if Im speed shifting unless I hesitate before putting it in second. Do you think thats a syncro, Lack of fluid or cable adjustment? I was told since my car is a 2002 mustang gt that is has the TR-3650. Im hoping I dont have to rebuid the transmission.

i would try checking fluid first since its the easiest and quickest fix. i run a auto and im not too familiar with the 3650. but being only one gear, im leaning toward the syncro.there are a couple places that sells clutch adjusters, upr is one of them and their prices are pretty good

Im going to change my rear end fluid and the fluid in my tranny. Im also going to check the clutch cable. Im sure the shifter also goes right into the tranny so I will check that area out if all else fails I guess its time to get a rebuild kit for my trans.

Disconnecting the battery clears your KAM(Keep Alive Memory).

The IAC is a valve and not a sensor, you may be mistaking the Throttle Position Sensor(little black box with two screws) for the IAC valve. The IAC valve is on the front of the plenum towards the right side if you are facing the engine. The TPS is attached to the side of the throttle body on the left side of the plenum.
