Default Return Style Fuel Rails

I am planning to do a PI upgrade in a few months and I am trying to work out all the little things.

My long term goals are just to completely redo the engine, but I wanted to start off small to hold me off for several years. Probably 6 years.

I want to get an edelbrock intake manifold, but you need to have edelbrock fuel rails. However, I found out that 96 mustangs have a return style fuel rail system and the edelbrock rails for 99-04 will not work.

Can anyone who has done this PI upgrade tell me if that is true or can I use a those Edelbrock rails for a 99-04? And if I can't use those rails what rails could I use with the Edelbrock intake manifold?

I have the edelbrock fuel rails and they work just fine with my return setup. Obviously you've got to have the adapter fittings to adapt the stock fuel lines to AN style. My stock rails had the regulator built in so I ran an aeromotive universal efi bypass regulator after the rails then out the regulator to the stock return line. Since then, I've upgraded to a cobra tank, fore hat, and braided lines throughout, but either way the edelbrock rails worked fine with the edelbrock intake in a return style fuel system.
