My guess is it will probably work, it's just that Mercon is what's specified. I have no idea what the difference between the two fluids might be. Post back and let me know if that stuff works ok. My only reservation about using that fluid instead of what's specified would be how much of a bitch it might be to get that stuff out of there if for some reason it doesn't work, other than that I don't think it'll hurt anything.

Yeah I won't risk it. Definitely not worth me busting my ***** if it doesn't for a lousy 2.50 qt. I will find the Mercon.

Okay I got my fat *** in the back seat there is a leather cover where the roof goes down into. Before I start ripping the crap out of it I thought I would try you guys first. Is there an easy way that cover comes out?

Okay I got the cover off. I can see the pump but for the love of god I can not find the fill cap. There is an amp on both sides of the pump. Anyone please while I still got some light. TIA

You've gotta pull up, toward yourself on the motor to detatch it from it's base. Once you've done that, the fill plug is on the end of the motor facing the driver's side; rotate the motor so that the plug is facing you and pull it out with needlenose pliers.
