Okay so I was driving my car and 4th gear only pulls back half way and so it is kicking it out of gear I can't even hold it in gear. Then half way home 3rd dissappears. 3rd doesn't do anything at all, no resistance, no engaging on any level and seems almost like it goes further than before. i do have a short throw shifter on it however, i don't believe that is the issue. i would like to hear this won't be a 3k replacement but whatever it takes. Please help!

If you are lucky it may be that the shifter stop bolts have come loose and need to be reset--if not then it may be that they were improperly adjusted and the transmission is damaged.

Remove the shifter bezel and take a look at the stop bolts...

No there is no issue with the stop bolts. If the car isn't running there is no way to tell that there is even a gear where fourth should be. I can't even begin to move it back.

Turns out that 3rd and 4th droped and the shifting fork snapped. then pieces got into 5th and reverse and ate them up. I'm just waiting for parts, just got my centerforce clutch last night and now Im waiting on new Shifting fork, all new pads for all the forks and new gears. i would have bought a new tranny but I didn't have the extra grand to spend.
