so I got a custom tune from bama, and I can not get rid of this ping for anything. The only thing I can think of is my injectors the car came with 22lb injectors I think they may either be lagging causing the ping or, one or more are clogged. So if anyone is willing to let the stock injectors go for cheap PLEASEEEEE let me know.

Hmmm they're not 24#? I didn't look into your order, directly. But if they're not 19# or 24#, they're probably not Ford Racing, which are the Bosch made injectors everyone recommends. Throw a stock set in, get us to retune it for you, and if the pinging is still there we have to try some other things.

Is there a vacuum leak after the MAF anywhere? Have you cleaned your fuel filter? Have you made sure the form you filled out had every modification? Are you running gas from a good quality station?

Thanks for the input Fuel filter has been changed not long ago I have run seafoam, sunoco gas and literally either zip tied or hose clamped every single vacuum line on the the car hahaha and just so you know I don't have any issue with you guys just very very irritated considering I haven't been able to use my tune yet with out ping I took out the cai for 2 reasons one afraid it didn't have a tight seal and 2 no gain at all. and next I think I am going to put my stock midpipe back on till I can get a a catted x or h and get the injectors so after I finish all that I will let you guys know and we can get a new tune going

any chain autoparts stoe will have oem type injectors. Are you sure you are not mistaken a sound for pinging I don't see how the little mods you have done is making your ping

lol yea i'm positive I may only be 22 but I was brought up with a trained ear for it my first car was a 84' svo trust me I heard alot of ping before I finally got that right

OK for 1 you don't have a custom tune you have a canned tune. Unless your car was datalogged on a dyno or street then the tune written you don't have a custom tune.

What color are your injectors? orange and yellow are 19lbs and pink are 21lbs. If the tune is written for stock injectors there is noway your pinging cause you may have bigger injectors. If your tuned for 19lbs but have 22lbs you would know cause of the big time gas smell and poor performance.

If you have a clogged injector it will not cause detonation. It will miss fire and possibly have exhaust backfires but won't ping. More then likely the tune is messed up.

Was the engine pinging before the tune?

no I didn't have any ping before the tune and yes the tune was written for my size injectors and yes I am positive of the size I looked by color and by the part num on the side of them

If your pinging because of the tune they you told them the wrong size injectors. What color are the injectors.
