when you say a bottom end turbo kit what are some of the companies that your talking about? or would it just be cheaper to piece the turbo kit together myself?

on3 is really the only low grade turbo kit out there. why spend 5 grand on an on3 kit when a hellion kit is 6?

never seen anyone piece together a turbo kit, so i dunno. will it be cheaper? maybe. are you gonna have a fun time trying to get everything to fit? yes.

Oh come on! I hate getting into these discussions but I have too, First do you have any experience with the on3 turbo? or are you talking about what you read on the internet?

that is what I hate the most, someone putting a product down that has NO experience with them, two, if you do your turbo right you dont have to run a tube K-member, first hand experience here! three, I have seen those turbos perform and they do pretty well for the cost, myself I like the garrett turbos but i dont wish to put a product down unless i have first hand seen it fail for myself.

end of rant

03GTwithnoSWAG -

there is a reason why it is so cheap.. Mutilater was simply trying to give sound advice. And On3 does not have the best reputation on the internet. The experience hasn't been felt by only 2 or 3 people. Do some research and you'll see that it isn't pure speculation. The welds on the piping, the quality of the turbo.....you get what you pay for.

Purple, for one I have plenty of swag! second i never said the turbo was great but for someone to quote something that was said on the internet is sad, I only believe what i see, true nuff you get what you pay for but if anyone thinks that they will buy a turbo kit and it will bolt right on with no problems, give me a break. people buy the less expensive equipment and expect it to work right the first time, if not they rag on the product and drag it through the mud on the internet so other folks get on the banwagon and speak on it without having first hand experience.

I dont care who's kit you buy these mustangs were not made from the factory with a turbo in mind. dont want to cause any disrespect in this forum but thats my opinon!

a good friend of mine literally pieced together his turbo kit on his 2V. The car is awesome, and it runs strong. He got a 76mm turbonetics turbo off of ebay, the intercooler off of a turbo'd camaro, and he custom fabbed a few pieces to make it all work. he ended up making 408rwhp on 7psi, but even so, the car isn't as reliable as he would like it to be... he even feels like he has to let it warm up in his driveway before getting behind the wheel. I'd just go for the helion, it's worth the extra cash, plus it'll be totally badass when it's all said and done.
